Random Cursor movement and pasting (Word 2002)

I have experienced both uncommanded cursor movement and random pasting of text while using Word 2002. The first instance was resolved about 6 weeks ago by reconfiguring Windows XP Home to a prior date. Magically that solved it. The problem recurred on Oct 1. I have reconfigured to Sept 29 which appeared to stop the cursor movement but not the random pasting of text. I have searched my computer files for the text strings without success. I reconfigured again to Sept 28 (the jury is still out).

I couldn't find anything about this. However, have you tried rebooting & making sure that you don't have too many applications running, that you have enough resources available, & enough ram. I haven't experienced "random" pasting, but I have experienced random cursor movements when resources run low in Windows. See if this is happening in other programs, too. If so, this might be a Windows problem.

The first thing that comes to my mind when I hear of random text popping up is, are you using a wireless keyboard?

If you are, are there others nearby that have a wireless keyboard as well?

That's all that I can think of.
