    TEXT AUTOMATICALLY INDENTING

Help!Someone has sent me a slide show where the text box seems to includes a hanging indent. However, no indent shows on the ruler bar. When I create a new text box, the same thing happens; this first line is aligned to the left but the text wraps to the second line as indented. I have tried going into the text box properties, but can find nothing to stop this from happening. I have checked on the slide master - nothing. Does anyone know why this default is happening?

does it have an invisible bullet? I know that sounds kinda silly ... but you never can tell.
