    Remove outside links (Office 2000 SP2)

    How do I break a link to an outside workbook? There does not appear to be any logical way of doing this.
    The links option does not allow me to delete!

    Select the link, click change source, navigate to the file the link is in, OK your way out and save.

    Tried that, but I still get the message box on opening that asks me whether I wish to update the links.
    When I look in the links dialog box, the link is still listed there.
    I want the link to be TOTALLY removed!
