    Import Dbase7 (Access 2002 - SP1)

I have files that are in a visual dbase 7 format and need them to be put in my access 2002 database. I have noticed that Access 2002 will import or link dbase 3, 4 and 5 but will do nothing with 7. Any thoughts from anyone on how I can do this? Even if I have to do this in some off the wall way, that is fine. This is a process that only gets done every 6 months.

Can you export the files from DBase to text files then import them into Access from there?

According to MSKB article Q290867, there is a problem with versions 7-8 of dBase. I haven't quite figured out whether they're saying that Access doesn't support those versions or the BDE doesn't, or whether installing another driver takes care of it, but you might want to query them to get further information.
