    WebQuery question (Excel 97)

I have been monkeying around with the Web Connectivity Kit for Excel 97. My question: Am I correct in concluding that these Web Query procedures cannot be changed at all once you complete the Get External Data command? I have created my own static query which I want to replace the existing query on my stock sheet. Yet the new query menu items are greyed out, only some editing options are available. If this is true, then how can I redo the query? On a new sheet? My linkage to other valuation sheets would then have to be changed. I have tried to snoop around the VBA but without success. ANy comments would be appreciated.

If you select all cells on the sheet and choose Edit, clear, all, XL will ask you whether you want to delete the query.

Thanks. So I guess one had better not have anything else on the page, such as share quantities, for instance.

Well, if you know what cells are designated to receive the query results, maybe clearing those will help as well.
