It is the fact that the ACCOUNT that you are logged in as has or did have these files in use and have NOT been released. This is one realon why you need a second admin account so you can handle these with out rebooting. You will find all kinks of files that will be in use until you log out. Just make sure that you log out and NOT just switch user because the files will still be in use.

    Dave,

Thanks. Is there anything tricky about creating another administrator account or do I just follow a wizard of some king?

Just open Control Panel, User Accounts and select "...Create New...." Be sure you make it an Administrative account, NOT Limited User. Of course, you could always logoff and log back on using the built-in Administrator account, unless that's the one you're using routinely. If you are, I would change that procedure and only use the built-in for sort-of emergency use.

OK. Go to Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Computer Management and open up the Users. I've blocked out the three users on my machine in the attachment, so if YOU see the Administrator and Guest only, I think you ARE using the built-in. That being the case, I'd suggest you DO add an additional user account.

    Big Al,

Thanks. I believe I am using the built in account. I'll try creating another administrator account.

It is very hard to use the buuilt in Ad,inistrator account. If your files, My Documents and etc are listed under the "Douments and Settings folder with your Account name then YOU are only using an account with admin permissions. To make another user account with admin permissions just go to the Control Panel and then User accounts. There is an entry "Create an new account" and following the wizard.
