File list order (Office XP - word 2002)

Have recently re-installed OfficeXP Pro . In Word, when I want to open file, the files are listed in a random order. How do set up Word so that files and folders are shown in alphabetical order?
Thanks for any help you can give me.

Within the file open dialog box click on the heading "name" above the list of files. This should list files in a-z order (if it shows z-a order just click on it again)

Thanks. Worked fine once I figured out exactly what you meant. "Name" heading does not appear in "List" format for "View" files (which is my personal normal setting), but found it once I changed view format to "Details". Thanks again for solving my problem.
