    Denied access (Latest version)

I suddenly have a problem with non-Word-file attachments. OE is refusing access to *all* incoming pdf, html, etc attachments (including ones I know do not contain a virus) with the following message: "OE has removed access to the following unsafe attachments in your mail". I've recently installed Win XP Service Pack 1, perhaps that has changed some settings. Otherwise I use McAfee VirusScan 6, although it does not seem to be directly involved. Be very grateful if anyone could help with a fix?

I was just about to post a question addressing this also. According to MSN tech support, all .zip files are blocked as well.. That and my e-fax being blocked is what got my attention. Who the H***** do they think they are anyway.... Guess its time to go back to qwest...and they want business's to use MSN.....
    Thanks John

In OE>Options>Security>Virus Protection...if you have selected "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could be potentially a virus"...then that's why you got that message.

Thanks, that was indeed the culprit. Strange thing is I didn't check it and this is the first time access has been blocked.

I am using windows ME and OE and my ISP is MSN.... Thats why I called them and they are indeed blocking. Luckily I don't have MSN as my ISP at work....Well enough whining about MSN time to make a change in ISP's
    Thanks John

    <img src=/S/sorry.gif border=0 alt=sorry width=15 height=15>...I don't use MSN for anything (ISP or even the website)...good luck with a new ISP.
