Referencing objects inside record (AXP / WIN XP)

    Hello All,
I have a need to put something like a hyperlink into a record whereas a user can attach something like a JPEG file to that record. I know that I should not try to add anything like this inside that database but it could work if just a hyperlink was there allowing the user to click on the link and open the document or picture. Has anyone out there had experience with this sort of thing?

    Thanks,
    Mark Santos

I don't believe hyperlinks in an Access back-end will cause any significant file bload - they seem to be some sort of text field rather than the memo/OLE Object kind. We routinely store links to picture files or other kinds of documents in a database without problems, and in the limited things we have done with web style links it hasn't been a problem.
