    Hiding Toolbars (Word 97)

I thought I viewed a post a few months back that spoke about hiding toolbars... any info appreciated.

I have a template that I want to suppress all of the MSO toolbars and only make MY Toolbars available to the user.

    Application.Commandbars("Standard").Enabled = False

If you're going to try this at home then PLEASE remember to execute

    Application.Commandbars("Standard").Enabled = True

Before you leave the PC to the next poor user.

So, I can enter this into the opening script of the template and then re-allow (true) toolbar access upon exiting?

And if they have multiple word templates open, what does it do to documents not assigned to specific toolbars?

    That's much trickier.

    You should...
Create a global template to store the code
Create a document change class event and use this to enable / disable the toolbars depending on the active document / template / toolbars
Make sure that you re-enable the toolbars when Word starts up with no document

If you need help creating a class module then try searching this forum for class module and then post again if that does not give you enough.
