I have a question about Windows Explorer (under Windows 2000). Can anyone tell me why sometimes an explorer window I had open appears when I reboot my system (even if I shut it down before rebooting) and sometimes it doesn't? Assume that explorer.exe hasn't been acting up and I didn't End Task it before rebooting.

Is it the same folder it is opening up in?
I can recall an MSKB article about the system32 folder opening up - see Post 182829.

Is this a reboot because of software/patch installation? I think Windows tries to keep track of what's open when you reboot as part of an install.
