    Reinstall WIN 98 SE

I have just replaced a motherboard with a used motherboard. Everything is up and running - seemingly OK. Somewhere I read that I should reinstall WIN 98 SE. Is it good to do that? If so, should I use a STARTUP disk and reinstall from DOS?

Hi Mark, is it best to boot with a startup disk and reinstall from there or just put the WIN 98 SE disk in the cd and RUN setup.exe???

If you're planning to install on top of an existing installation, I'd opt for just running setup from within Windows. It will work the same either way; Windows setup will verify files and replace corrupt and missing ones. How you get it started shouldn't matter...but booting to DOS adds an extra step that really isn't necessary.
