    Printer notification (WinXP Pro)

HI all! When I print from XP, I recieve a "messenger service" window that says that my print job has successfully completed. I print alot, so needless to say this is annoying. How can I turn it off? Thanks!

Is this a local printer or one attached to a server? If it is not local then this setting is controlled by the server that is attached to the printer

Go to the printers folder and you will see an entry on the File menu with a name something like "Print Server Properties" where you can set this.

Yes, it is a local printer ( I forgot to add this important fact).

You will find the following instructions in q308217

    Start > Printers and Faxes
    File > Server Properties
Advanced > clear Show informational notifications for local printers

I was so busy that I forgot to say "thank you sir". It worked like a charm! You saved the day!
