    Microsoft Binder replacement (97,2000)

    Good Evevning all,
I have run across a problem with 97, 2000 Binder and Office XP (which I have been working with MS and they have closed the support request). Office XP only provides the Unbind utility. It is possible to run or install Office 97 Binder with Office XP buy creating a custom .MST file to lock out the unbind utility thus allowing Binder to work. The problem is using Print Preview when cycling through documents. Without getting into details the program is essential to our work and print preview is a function that is needed. MS Official word, after making a good solid effort to make this work, finally had to back down to

    Howdy

You could see if the instructions here in PC Magazine help.
It isn't a third party solution but then they don't refer at all to a .MST file.

    Good luck!

    Have a Great day!!!

    Thanks for the information.
We can get the binder working it just the print preview feature doesn't work properly. Another problem we turned up was after a period of time OXP decides it wants to put the unbind utility back for no reason. This is why we created a custom .MST lock it out from ever occurring again. I wish I new a little bit of VB. My guess is that it would rather simple to code a similar application.
