Pivot table and zeros (Excel 2000)

    Hello Everyone,

I have a pivot table and I am adding the row, column and data information, and
the pivot table displays the summarised results as it should - however is displays
all the data that contain zeros - it is possible to stop this. (Currently I have row upon row of zeros)

I have tried Autoshow option "only show the top 5 " that was suggested in a previous thread - however the
number might change and thus show data with zeros or not display data.
Can I put some sort of If statement with it??

    Thanks Kinldy,

It sounds as if the "Show items with no data" in the Pivot Table Field box is checked, try unchecking it. Access this box by double clicking the Field button in the Row or Column areas in Layout.

Another option is to use AUTOFILTER.
The trick is (excel won't let you autofilter directly) is to go select the BLANK column to the right of your pivot table. Then when you select data - filter - autofilter, excel knows you can't mean the blank column and will add it to the pivot table.
