Where is my window?

After starting an application, I see the icon on the windows task bar, but no window. I right click on the icon and select "Maximize" and the window appears. Any time I "Restore" the application, it goes away again. I assume that it is starting off the screen. How can I get the application to start on the screen?

Any application in particular, or all of them?
Have you changed screen resolution recently?

Just one application does this. I have never changed my screen resolution. I run 1280X1024.

    Re: Where is my window?

What has probably happened is that the window is off the screen.

A coupe of ways to get it back:
    1.
Restore the window. Press ALT+Space, M. Then use the cursor keys to move it around until you can see the title bar and then you can use your mouse to grab it. The mouse pointer should change to a 4-way arrow along the side that is closest to the title bar. Just go the opposite way and you should get it back

Bump up your resolution (higher than 1280 x 1024) until you can see the window. Drag it back to an area that will bee in your normal desktop space (ie. Top Left corner) when you drop your resolution back down.
Obviously the first method is a whole lot easier.
