    Command buttons (XL 97 SR2)

I have a protected XL workbook (protected) which contains 2 protected worksheets (one hidden). I want to access the spreadsheet from IE over an Intranet. I have inserted a command button on the visible worksheet to run a macro. However, while the worksheet is protected, the macro won't run when I open the workbook thru IE, but OK if I open it direct in XL from my C drive.

If the excel file is really opened in IE, I would expect the macro to work.
If however you are using the spreadsheet plugin of IE to "show" the spreadsheet, alas, no macro's.
