    Restoring PST Files (Outlook 2000)

I'm having trouble restoring my backupoutlook.pst file. I recently had to reinstall Win2K but I keep getting the message "The server is not available. Contact your administrator if this condition persists" and I can't get my data back!

The backup pst file is on my local machine, on the same HDD as Outlook itself.

The pst file is 620,384 kb - would its size have anything to do with the problem? How could I get around it?

    Thanks,

    Joe

Re: Restoring PST Files (Outlook 2000)

size should be ok.. you are good to about 1.75 GB.

Close outlook, find and rename the pst it is using. Open outlook and when it fusses, point it to the backup pst.

What is giving you the server message? Outlook or Windows?
