Cant Colour Categories (2000-SR1)

WOW-MM #3.26 - Color your Outlook

Ok.. Is it me? I can't find either Edit | Labels OR Edit | Automatic Formatting. I've booked an eye test, anything else I should do?

Regards
Peter

Peter,

Under Tools, select Organize | Using colors or under Views, select Current View | Define Views... Select an existing view or create a new one. Click on the Automatic Formatting button. Hope this is what you were looking for.

Hi! I have the same problem (Outlook version 9.0.0.2711). There are no options for Automatic Formatting under the Edit menu selections. I e-mailed "ask.woody@woodyswatch.com" in response to MM #3.26 to tell him that too and see what I need to do. It's baffling!

The suggestion that Dick gave me worked, to a point. The 'Automatic Format' button is greyed out via both suggetsed routes?

Hi, In calendar go to Views. Choose to view Categories. Once chosen then Customise current view and you will see the automatic formatting button active. Like you I normally have other views as standard, and the Automatic formatting was greyed out - Grrr

Re: Cant Colour Categories (2000-SR1)

Further to my recent posting, if the categories view is the current view, then it is coloured as expected. However if I then change back to my normal day month view then those appointments are not coloured!. Therefore coloured appointments available only in selected views (which probably accounts for the Automatic Formatting button being greyed out)
