    Odd and Even Row Extraction (XP)

    I want to split a mailing list in half so I can mail each segment a different sales offer. I thought I might be able to number each row and then select only the odd or even number rows to create separate lists. Is this possible in Excel? Is there any way to do this?
    Thanks for input on this.

    Re: Odd and Even Row Extraction (XP)

    Use an empty column somwhere in your table (or insert an empty one anywhare convenient) and enter this formula in it:

    =IF(MOD(ROW(),2)=0,"Even","Odd")
    Copy down to match your data.

    Now choose Data, filter, autofilter, click the small arrow next to the header of this new column and choose Odd to see all odds <g>. Likewise to just see the even's.
