Create Line Breaks in Calendar (Outlook XP)

How do I insert line breaks in appointments? I want to break up appts with address info (or whatever). Enter closes the appointment; shift + enter doesn't work either. Any pointers?
    Thanks in advance.

Are you talking about a CR in the general text area underneath the Reminder option?
I can enter [ENTER] no problem.

    What operating system?

No. If you go to calendar, click on a time slot, start typing your appointment details, then try to insert a line break so the appointment takes up more than one line, it won't let me break the line.

By default when you enter an event by clicking a time slot and typing, you are entering the Subject, which doesn't appear to permit line breaks.

Might dragging the bottom of the appointment (so that it takes up more time on the calendar) create a big enough area for you? (I wish I know how to enter a "CR" vs. an [Enter}) -good luck.....dr carl

I don't think that is the point of the original question; you are correct that if the Subject is long enough it will wrap, but I don't believe that you can enter a carriage return in the middle of a Subject.

One work around ..... you can put the added information in the comment section of the Appointment form then use the Preview view on the calendar to display the content of the comment section in your calendar.

Since this thread stayed alive, I discovered:

    1. I was wrong: you can force a linebreak in the Subject Field by using Control-Shift-Enter. However, I can't find any keystroke combo which will force a line break in the Location field.

    2. A better to create new appointment; instead of clicking the time slot, get into the habit of double clicking it; the entire Appointment window opens, where you have separate areas to enter Subject, Location, and Comments, as well as other structured details of the appointment.
