    PPS D/L as PPT (2002 - XP)

I have a pps file on my server so prospective clients can D/L & execute the slide show. Problem is that when it is D/L, it is a ppt file - not a pps! What am I doing wrong? I'm using IIS and have verified the link is correct and that the file is, indeed, a pps.

This is a known problem which doesn't seem to me to have a good explanation nor any reasonable work-around. Here are the details. Sorry. --Sam

Thanks but, oddly enough, it seems to work properly if the Netscape browser is used. Maybe this is an IE issue rather than a PowerPoint issue.
