SaveRecord not available (Access 2000, sr1a)

I have a tabbed control on a form with a subform on each "page". The _Change event of the tab control contains the code: DoCmd.RunCommand acCmdSaveRecord. I don't get errors as I switch from page to page within the tab control until I click on one (out of five) particular tab. Then I get the run-time error 2046: SaveRecord not available. How can I get around this, and why would it be happening on only one tab?

Are the different tabs based on different queries?
One possible explanation is that the offending tab page is based on a non updateable query.
Open the query by itself and see if there is a blank row, or if it will let you change data .

A RunCommand acCmdSaveRecord in the change event of the tab control is going to save the record in the parent form. Is that what you're trying to do? If so, you might try testing the dirty condition of the form first to be sure you *can* save the record.
