The registry structure of XP is substantially different than in Windows 9x. Consider yourself lucky that it didn't work, and didn't cause big problems if it had. I encourage you to visit James Eshelman's Windows Support Center for a detailed write-up on the hazards of importing REG files that aren't designed for the OS you are working with. I don't know what the REG file you were trying to import was supposed to do, but consider yourself lucky that you didn't break something by trying!!

Mark,
Thanks I will read that link. You were also correct I was probably real lucky because the import I was trying to do was meant for NT/2000/XP not Win 98. I originally didn't see that exclusion until you pointed it out. I guess I get too brave with Goback installed.
Thanks again.
