Should be an easy one.... (Word 2K)

I have seen and used documents that have a line, lets say where you need to type your name ex. Name:____________), and when you type on that line the line does not move and your letters stay right on top of it, so the if you had the date next to it it would not push the date further to the side. My question is how do you create this line?
Thanks,
Trent

The easiest way is to use TABs with the correct leading, like this example.
To see how the tabs are set up click anywhere in the line and then Format > Tabs

If you don't like the Tabs then this example has two other ways of doing this.

The first paragraph is the same as the previous document
The second paragraph has lines drawn with the drawing toolbar, set as "Behind Text, Move relative to Character, Locked Anchor" and anchored to the Name
The third example uses a table with bottom borders on the cells where you want the name and date typed.
