Macro or Rules Wizard Help (Outlook 2000)

Would some kind soul here be able to help me with a problem? I am running Outlook 2000. I want to do a simple task automatically when mail is received, but I do not know how to do it. Normally, I would use Rules Wizard, but it doesn't give me this specific option. When a message is received from a particular individual, I want Outlook to automatically "Mark As Read". That's it. Rules Wizard does not list that as a selection item, and if I elect "Custom Action" it shows me a blank pick list. There is nothing there to select. I thought of the possibility of a macro, but I have no idea how to write a macro to do that, and to have that macro activated automatically when a message is received. If you are able to help, I would greatly appreciate it. Keep in mind that I am a complete novice at this and if you skip over any steps, I will be clueless. Thanks in advance.

I think you can do this from the Rules Wizard.
    1. After you start the Wizard, choose Flag Message from Someone.
    2. Click Next and choose From People or Distribution List. After that you have to make choices using the Rule Description section.
    3. Choose the address you want to Mark As Read and then click on flag message for action in a number of days. Choose Read from the Flag drop-down list and pick the number of days.
    4. Finish the Wizard.

    Hope this works. <img src=/S/crossfingers.gif border=0 alt=crossfingers width=17 height=16>
