Create Page Borders (2000 Sr-1)

    Howdy
I would like to create page borders with a gif file; however, I can't figure out a way to incorporate it in Word's Page Border feature.
    Any suggestions?

Re: Create Page Borders (2000 Sr-1)

In WD2000: General Information About Page Borders, Microsoft states that this isn't possible:

Can I add custom border art to the border designs that ship with Word?

No. The border art is stored as a collection of designs in a *.bdr file in the C:Program FilesMicrosoft OfficeOfficeBorders subfolder.

These images are not available in individual graphics formats such as Windows Metafile (WMF), Tag Image File Format (TIFF), or other graphics formats. In addition, you cannot insert these images into a Word document by inserting from a file (on the Insert menu, point to Picture, and click From File).

However, you might simulate page borders by using the GIF file as a watermark.
