    Appointment reminders (Outlook 2000)

When using a public calendar on a network is there anyway for appointment reminders to pop up on a single computer? This works when the appointments are posted to a .pst folder on each individual computer but I am not sure if this is possible when it is a public folder. MS Exchange is being used. Thanks for the help.

    Re: Appointment reminders (Outlook 2000)

    Hi,

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe you can do this, as the reminders only work in your primary account (usually your mailbox or pst in an Exchange environment). This restriction also applies to any sub-calendars you make until your primary mailbox calendar. The only workaround I can think of, is when you create the appointment in the public folder, invite the person you want to get the reminder for the appointment and set the appropriate reminder time. The appointment will also appear in their calendar and they will also get a reminder.

    Cheers

    Beck
