Format warning

I have Outlook 2000 set up to do HTML email by default and want to find a way to get rid of the annoying warning message I get whenever I want to switch to a Plain Text message.

    Is there some regedit trick?

My last question may have been too specific.

    Re: Format warning

could try a custom form that is plain text, then start new messages using that form, but otherwise, you can't disable the message.

if you do save a form, publish it to the folder you use most often (inbox usually) and it can be accessed from the actions menu.

    Thanks for the confirmation.

    Re: Format warning

Which format do you use most?
If you default to plain text, you do not get a warning when switching to another format.
So, default to plain text and maybe a custom button that will open a new mail and switch the format for that message to HTML...?

Hmm... that's thinking outta the box! How, exactly, could I set up the custom button you mention?

    Thanks for your help!

try tools | customize. commands tab, actions category and "html (no stationery)" gets put on the toolbar.

    Re: Format warning

This was as far as I could get under 'Help' but it appears to want a 'single' email address. Did I overlook something?
<hr>Create a toolbar button to automatically address an e-mail message
Display the toolbar you want to change.

Add a new button to the toolbar.

On the Tools menu, click Customize.

Right-click the toolbar button you created in step 2, point to Assign Hyperlink on the shortcut menu, and then click Open.

Under Link to, click E-mail address.

In the E-mail address box, type the e-mail address you want to assign to the button.

If you want a subject to be added to the message, type a subject in the Subject box.

    Re: Format warning

Wow, you were reading my mind... while I didn't find it under 'Actions' I did find it under 'Format,' and, I must say, it looks good!

Thank you and Leif for guiding my learning!
