Conditional formatting (Access XP & IE)
Got a poser for y'all
When using conditional formatting in a bound subform in a M$ Access 2002 database (using the Access 2000 or 2002 file format), an error is consistently encountered when Internet Explorer 6.0 is launched subsequent to opening the form/subform in Access. If IE 6.0 is launched first, and M$ Access is subsequently launched and the form/subform w/conditional formatting is opened everything appears to be fine.
When the subform with the conditional formatting is opened by itself (i.e., not as part of the parent form), and IE 6.0 is subsequently launched, the error does not occur. When conditional formatting is removed from the subform entirely, the error does not occur under any circumstances. The error that occurs is the generic Office XP error handling message "M$ Access has encountered a problem and needs to close..." which gives you the option to repair the database and restart M$ Access as well as send the error report to M$. The detail for the error points to the file MSJTES40.DL (M$ Jet Expression Service). Thought's, idea's? <img src=/S/scratch.gif border=0 alt=scratch width=25 height=29>
