    Javascript errors -

Am suddenly drowning in Javascript error notices. Almost everything on the Internet has a javascript error in it, and
I'm getting this pop-up almost constantly.
Isn't there a fix for this? I vaguely recall something about a setting, but that was a long time ago,
and I can't remember where it is. Help?
Last but not least - Could Shockwave cause this to happen? I'm kind of new at this stuff (as you can tell?)

    Re: Javascript errors -

I guess from another post you are on IE6?
I think I'm right in saying that most JavaScript error reports are due to, well, errors in the JavaScript.
Unless you are actually debugging a website, I think the norm is to ensure that in your Tools > Internet Options > Advanced you have:
    Disable Script Debugging - Enabled
Display a notification about every script error - Disabled

Thanks - that's what I was looking for.
P.S. It's awfully hard to find out how to reply......but I finally figured it out.

    Hi raybee--
Just curious--I have had this show up once in a while in the past without changing anything. From Leif or raybee--did you do anything to change those settings or can other factors impact them and change them?

    Re: Javascript errors -

    Hi
what I think I did was upgrade from IE5.5 to IE6...........Microsoft, in their wisdom and control-freaky selves,
saved my favorites and email ;addresses, but changed all the settings I had. I think when they did that,
it opened the door to the javascript error notices. Repeat.......I THINK that's what happened.
The setting I changed was in the Options / Internet options / Advance settings / then do what Lief said.
