    Un compile CODE (VB)

Recently (as of yesterday) a man in our office had a massive heart attack, to make a long story short they (the big cheezes) have dumped a little software program that he has written on my desk to make some minor changes. His wife will not allow him to have any "work related" calls, as can be expected. However this just makes my situation even worse. It appears that the program was written in VB however all i can get to is machine code. Is there some way for me to "uncompile" this to where i can make an adjustment to some "queries"

    desperate and btw blonde
    thanks and hopeful

    No.

But you could ask the wife to ask him for the password when she deems it advisable to do so.

There are reverse engineering tools out there. Never used 'em, so not sure they even work.
Do a google on "reverse engineer vb", "de-compile vb" , etc.

Why not ask YOUR BOSS to contact the ill employee's wife for the location of the source code.
Maybe he password protected the project?

Gee wiz, is it the employee's responsibility? I don't think so. What kind of noodle is this boss?

Reverse engineering does not work with VB 5 and VB 6.
You can get the object code, but that's not much use to many folkes,
