Text functions (AC 2K / NT4.0)
Anyone know why text functions (e.g. Left(), Right() & Trim()) would not work?
Took my new app. up to the sponsor to test and get feedback, etc., and it wouldn't work and kept getting errors on these lines (VERY EMBARRASSING!! ) - I run AC 2K on Win98 and have no problems.

This is usually a References problem. You might have a reference in your database to an object library that has not been installed on your sponsor's PC, or has been installed in a non-standard location, or has a different version (in particular an older version).
Open the database on your sponsor's PC (with the shift key held down if you have startup options set in the database), open any module, and select Tools/References...
If there are any references saying MISSING, note what they are, then uncheck them, and click OK to close the References dialog.
To see if the code now works, select Debug/Compile All. If you're lucky, you'll get no error messages. Otherwise, open Tools/References... again. See if you can find the object library you need in the list, and check the corresponding box. If it's not in the list, you'll have to Browse for it. If the object library is not available at all, you may have to install it - if you have the right to do so.
