    More start-up problems

My computer is misbehaving more and more.. In particular, when I start-up Windows attempts to load the Internet for me bringing up the dial-up box. Office is also starting to misbehave.. when I attempt to hide the office assistant it produces the illegal operation dialog and closes me out of Word/ Excel. There is nothing about the Internet in the Startup folder and I have tried running a couple of clean-up apps. but they haven't worked. Where do you think I should head next?!! Andy.

Some program is trying to cll home. Real Player is real nasty about this. What ICONs are shown in the SysTray?

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

    Hi Andrew

To find out what programs are loaded/running in real time, you could try Process Explorer.
To root out and get rid of any "Spyware", you can download Spybot Search and Destroy.

These might help you find the offending program and get rid of it.

    Have a Great day!!!

Real Player used to keep appearing in my sys tray, but it's no longer there.

I'll try these apps and see how far I can get. Thanks, Andy.
