    RAM

A friend sent me an email with the following questions. I don't have a CLUE how to answer it.

If you were given a chip that contains ram and were told that it has a
13 bit address bus and an 8 bit data bus,
how many bytes of ram are available on the device?
how many bits are able to be stored on the whole device?

    Can anyone help?

    Tanx.

    Re: RAM

    Hi,
By my reckoning that would be an 8MB chip (2^13=8196). 8196*8bits = 65,536 bits total.
