    We use Outlook 2000/Corporate and view some folders by grouping the messages by the

    you can't edit the from field.

    use categories

    You can edit what's in the from field.
    1. View - Current View - Customize Current View - Other Settings
    2. Rows - select Allow In-cell editing. Click OK - Ok

    Now you can edit the From fields!

    you can edit most fields, except for from and a few others.

    it maybe different in earlier versions of outlook.

    By Jove - you're right! I saw the cursor in the field and thought - cool this'll work. But it just bings at me....maybe in the new version...

    don't hold your breath waiting for from or other restricted fields to be editable. it's read from the mail header, how would you reply if you changed the from field? the date fields are also not changable.
