    E-mail with attachment (A2K)

I have no problem using SendObject to send an e-mail. Question is, is it possible to have it automatically attach a file? If so, how? I see nothing in any documentation or reference material that addresses this subject one way or another.

    Re: E-mail with attachment (A2K)

I have the same problem. I generally send email use sendobject because I have quite a few projects for clients who don't use Outlook. Now someone wants to send an attachment which is coming from outside the database.
I don't believe that sendobject will handle this.

From Pat's suggestion, I can see two options:
    * One solution is to use Outlook.
    * Another is to use vbSendMail.dll
I am not sure which solution to use yet. I will try out the vbsendmail option first. From looking at this, I imagine that there is no sent mail kept. If I wanted to have this, I would have to program the storing of sent mail in the db.
    Regards
    John

I just remembered another thought I had about this.
In my case the attachments are likely to be Word files with no graphics. I was wondering if you could program the db to import the Word file, generate a report from it, then use sendobject to send the report.?
