    Video Magenta Wash

I have been playing with putting together a cheapie computer system, largely to learn a little as I do (worked great!!!). Anyway, I bought a Sylvania f72 17" monitor, used, and just started running through an nVidia RIVA TNT 2 model 64 32mb board. Recently I have been getting an intermittent magenta "wash", sometimes the whole screen, sometimes just in flickering horizontal lines. I'm suspecting the monitor, but I just got to thinking that I suppose it could be the board (also a cheapie). Any thoughts on the cause, before I start a painful testing by swapping to an older board? (Changing to newer/older versions of the video driver hasn't helped)

If you have another monitor, swop them first, and see if you the same problem, if no problem, then try the card.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

Long ago, there was a time when men cursed and beat on the ground with sticks. It was called witchcraft.
    Today it is called golf!
