Has somebody cracked into the MSFT newsserver? (all)

I sent the following to MSFT a few minutes ago.
    ----------------------------------------------------
A few minutes ago, while connected to msnews.microsoft.com, using OE 6, I
got a screen stating that there were new newsgroups.

None of these were msft newsgroups. They included, e.g.,
    biz.binaries.hipcrime, free.binaries.hipcrime, and it.hipcrime.

I'd say that somebody has cracked into your server.

    MSFT fixed the problem.

If they "fixed the problem," assuming it is a problem, Howard those sites still come up in the Newserver list -about 12 .hipcrime groups--and the only reason I didn't click on to see what they were is because M$ does such an outstanding Palladium/Trustworthy (we'll let you know about major exploits that can wipe out your drives three months later) job of security I didn't want to get burned.

What are these things that are still present? If they were a problem other than fake newsgroups that just got in the way, why? Do you mean someone hacked the servers and just listed extra newsgroups of their own?

You need to reset the list, it doesn't happen automatically.
