    Error Message

    On start up I get a message "Dw this program has performed an illegal operation ----------"
    WHAT does it mean and HOW do I fix the problem. Thanx.

    I believe that implies some piece of spyware has been loaded onto your system. This was discussed relatively recently -- I'll see if I can find the reference...

    While this can be an normal component of WinXP, the fact that you are getting an error message implies you have Kazaa and the DW.exe file is from "Download Ware".

    I loaded Adaware and got out of Kazaa but I an still getting the error message DW this program has performed an illegal operation------

    HOW can I get rid of or DELETE the ERROR message

    You have to get DW.exe out of the startup axis. It does not sound like AdAware correctly fixed the problem for you.

    You should have read the thread I sent you to a little more thoroughly... I believe all you need is in there.
