Check box (Form Field) (Word XP)

Based on information which I can determine, I'd like to pre-check some form field check boxes via VBA code.

    ActiveDocument.FormFields(ckBox).Result = True

does not seem to violate proper syntax, but it does not work. What should I be doing differently?

    Thanks,

Assuming that ckBox is a variable containing the correct name or index for your CheckBox, try...

    ActiveDocument.FormFields(ckBox).CheckBox.Value = True
