    hide the screen? (Access 2000)

How to hide the process of copying

I want to hide the screen while copying the tables and other functions with an autoexec file.
The aim is not to allow the user ot see which tables are copied automatically.I use the following code for the copying"
DoCmd.TransferDatabase TransferType, "Microsoft Access", appath, acTable, "bank", "bank"
DoCmd.TransferDatabase TransferType, "Microsoft Access", appath, acTable, "categories", "categories"
    etc
    etc

Can somebody advise me how can i make the screen invisible during the process ?

Re: hide the screen? (Access 2000)

    Set

    Echo False

to keep the Access application window from updating, and

    Echo True

to resume updating it. You will have to make sure that Echo is set to True even if an error occurs, otherwise your user will sit staring at a frozen window forever!

So use it in the following way:

    Sub HideMyActions()
    On Error Goto Err_Handler
    Echo False
DoCmd.TransferDatabase TransferType, "Microsoft Access", appath, acTable, "bank", "bank"
DoCmd.TransferDatabase TransferType, "Microsoft Access", appath, acTable, "categories", "categories"
    ' etc

    Exit_Handler:
    Echo True
    Exit Sub

    Err_Handler:
    MsgBox Err.Description, vbExclamation
    Resume Exit_Handler
    End Sub
