    workgroup trouble in win 2k

I just upgraded the computers in my office from win 98 to win 2k using the win 2k pro upgrade. One machine is giving me the weirdest problem. All of our PCs are networked using a server running Win NT 4.0. They are all members of a workgroup called Public. The "computers near me" icon has "Public" as the target in all but one computer. This rogue has "workgroup" as the target even though I've checked the Network Identification many times and it is correct! When I double-click on the Computers near me icon, the "My Network Places" program hangs. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Taibe, Do you have win2k sp-3 applied? You might try to change the workgroup to something other than 'public' on the rogue computer. Re-boot and see what it says. Then change it to 'public' and re-boot. Maybe that will do it.
