    Uninstalling Outlook Express (XP Home)

I have a friend with XP Home who has both Outlook and Outlook Express loaded. She wants to use Outlook as her mail client but we can't seem to stop Outlook Express starting automatically and want to take over as the default client. It's not in the Windows start menu and i also can't find an option to uninstall it using Add/Remove programs. I've also had a look through the registry and can't see where it's loading up.

    Can anyone help please?

    Thanks
    Roger

Roger, Do you mean that OE start when the system is booted? If so, what keys have you examined in the registry? Outlook should check to see if it is the default mail client and ask the user if it is not. You may not want to uninstall OE as it is used a the default newsgroup client. OE is considered a part of Internet Explorer.

Have you looked at Control Panel, Internet Options, Programs to see what's there?
