Outlook Email Properties Form (Office 2000)

Hello, I have a question about contacts. It seems that there are two types of contacts. One where the email properties form has three fields (Display Name, E-mail Address, E-Mail Type) and another where there is a 5 tab form that has many many fields.

How do you control which type comes up? The main problem is that when you print your contacts, the latter type of contact shows the users name in the email address field (i.e., LaCombe, Andy rather than andy.lacombe@soandso.com).

I would like to know if I can control the type of contact or the display of the actual email address in the printed contacts list.

    Thanks!

    Andy

Sounds like you are running Outlook in Corporate/Workgroup mode. The three part contacts are "external" contacts who do not have matching entries in the server's global address list (GAL). The others are being picked up from the GAL. Even if you created them, if there is a matching email address in the GAL Outlook will use that multi-tab form. Users have no control over it - so far as I know.
