Thread: Duplicate Appointments

When a user is a delegate for someone in Outlook 97 and she books an appointment for this user she is a delegate of two appointments show up in her calendar. One of these appointments is marked Tentative and the other is marked Busy. Does anyone know why the user is receiving duplicate appointments?

Is the person for whom she is a delegate set up to use an OST file?
On the delegate's PC, check Outlook's Tools | Options | E-Mail. If the option to process requests and responses on arrival is checked, uncheck it.
