Paste Address into Letter (Office XP)

How can I copy the name & address of an outlook contact into the beginning of a Word document? (I want to use an existing Word template and not create a letter from scratch.)

If you wanted to use a Macro - I don't know how to make the following work.
    However, manually
    Tools > Letters & Mailings > Envelopes & Labels ...
Has access to the address book

First try using Insert|Address in Word. This probably is not on the menu, but you can add it using the Customize... dialog (Tools|Customize or right-click the blank part at the end of the menu). If this is Greek to you, please see the illustration (from Word 2000). Just drag the command to a convenient menu location and drop it there.

If that doesn't provide all the functionality you need, for example, because you want particular data fields to be placed in particular pre-styled paragraphs, then you will have to do some programming.

    Thanks.

I added the outlook address book to my main tool bar. One questions though. Outlook doesn't include the company name as a normal part of the address. It just adds the name and the address and leaves out the company. If I want that as part of the address, must I add it a to the address box in addition?

This page at Slipstick describes how to modify the details of the inserted address in Word 97 and 2000. I suspect it's the same for XP, but the article doesn't say, and Microsoft's search engine is a disaster tonight.
