    WINPOPUP

I just found the program and it's running, although it hasn't activted any messages yet. Went to the KB and found a lot of information but nothing about using it for Win98 or on a Personal Computer. It sounds to me like it's desgigned for people who are networking.

I would appreciate someone setting me straigt on using Winpopup.

Winpopup can be used by Networked computers to send "instant messages" back and forth between various users. If you are not on a Network, I do not see any reason for using Winpopup. I would disable it from startup.

This has been replaced in later versions of Windows by the notorious "Messenger Service"....

Thank you for replying so swiftly R2.

That's exactly the idea I got when I read those KB articles. I'm not only going to disable it, it's going to be removed.
