    Converting numbers to words (2002)

Is there an easy way to convert a number to "words (dollars) and figures" (e.g., convert "2345.67" to "Two Thousand Three Hundred Forty Five Dollars and Sixty Seven Cents ($2,345.67)"? Under previous versions of Word, Mystic River had developed a VBA tool called Say Tool, which installed a macro called RunSay, which would do so. I know there is a field code under Word 2002 for doing something like this (i.e., producing numbers in words for check-writing), but what I need is a simple macro so that, after I type the number, I can simply run the macro to do the conversion to words and figures. Will the Say Tool run under Word 2002?

I found a macro in the Lounge that uses the Dollars Text field code -- see post #29071.

This Post contains a macro that I wrote for Excel to do this. It could be adapted for Word by someone who understands Word VBA.

Thanks. I also found another macro in a previous message posted last year. Thanks again.
