    IE & OE

I've got an old P133 that I have brought back to life with an OEM version of Win95. Is it possible to get a verion of Internet Explorer and Outlook Express that will work with this system?

    Hi Colin,

Try http://browsers.evolt.org to find what you're looking for. IE4 can be found here. Maybe IE5 would be a better choice? You also might be able to find the installer for IE4 on another Microsoft CD from around the time of its release - Outlook 98, for example, and a few others that 'required' (ahem) IE4 to work.

    Good luck!

    Re: IE & OE

I ended up upgrading the Win95 to Win98SE and that included IE5 and then I updated that to IE6.

This machine is such a dog now it is barely useable, even with a cable connection! <img src=/S/doze.gif border=0 alt=doze width=15 height=15>

    The ram is maxed out as well, to a whopping 128Mb. <img src=/S/laugh.gif border=0 alt=laugh width=15 height=15>

I hate to think the best use for the old girl is as a boat anchor! <img src=/S/bummer.gif border=0 alt=bummer width=15 height=15>
